The aim of the unit is to eliminate and prosecute human traffickers, smugglers and identifying multijurisdictional trafficking and smuggling network and to establish a mechanism for the protection and support for the victim in order to promote human dignity, protect the people from any threat of violence and exploitation, organized and serious crimes, as well to mitigate pressures for involuntary migration and servitude of persons, as well to ensure consistent application of all laws.
The human trafficking and immigration crimes unit performs their duties according to the guidelines prescribed by the Attorney General.
In addition to that, the immigration and human trafficking unit is responsible to train the law enforcement agencies and educate and provides public awareness about the human trafficking and immigration crimes.
The human trafficking and immigration crimes unit is led by a highly qualified, competent and experienced prosecutor, together with other prominent prosecutors including female prosecutor, prosecution officers and paralegals who support the unit.
