This section is responsible for immediate direction and supervision of the Unified Criminal Records Office at the Police headquarters to ensure the record and information regarding the criminal, civil and administrative matters mentioned in article 261 & 262 of Criminal Procedure Code is kept and managed properly.
This section is also responsible to monitor the enforcement of the laws governing the use of the information of criminal history and records.
This section is headed by an experienced prosecutor, and it consist of prosecutors who have special training and knowledge on the law’s direction, supervision and monitoring.
