Civil prosecution unit

About Civil prosecution unit

The civil prosecution unit is mandated to initiate and intervene in civil cases according to article 8 of Organization of the Judiciary Act. The main goal of this unit is to ensure the right of the incapacitated persons, orphans, children, women and vulnerable group for instituting or intervening in civil proceedings whenever the AG considers that the public interest is involved, this unit has special duty toward these groups, the unit must take care to ensure the safety and well-being of these groups.

The civil prosecution unit performs their duties according to the guidelines prescribed by the Attorney General.
In addition to that, the civil prosecution unit is responsible to train and educate the public and related offices about the civil proceedings led by the unit, the unit provides public awareness raising related the civil proceedings.

 

 

The civil prosecution unit is led by well experienced prosecutor together with other prominent prosecutors including female prosecutor, prosecution officers and paralegals who support the unit, They are specially trained on civil litigation skills.
